What equipment do you use ?
We use some of the latest digital high definition cameras filming in 16:9 format for all wide screen TV's
Our newest cameras use solid state memory cards to avoid the use of tapes (along with their complex drive systems) which are probably the main cause of frame loss and mechanical breakdown.
All editing is performed digitally using professional video editing software.
How long have you been doing this ?
We have been filming weddings, corporate and special events for around 15 years now.
What happens if your camera breaks down ?
We always use two camera operators as standard (unlike others) and we also carry spare cameras to ensure we capture your day.
Will you come early on the wedding day ?
It's your big day so the degree of coverage you want is up to you, it can be from home or wedding ceremony venue.
Do you attend the church rehearsal ?
If needed or requested we can attend the rehearsal, occasionally the religious dignitary performing the ceremony may ask to speak to the camera team prior to the ceremony to detail what he expects and where he feels the camera team can or cannot go etc.
Do you move around during the service ?
No, we have found it better to use multiple cameras so we can cover every part of your wedding without distraction or intrusion.
How long will it take to produce my film ?
In order to produce the best possible DVD of your day many hours of editing are required to perfect the record of your day.
From filming to delivery DVD's are normally around four to six weeks (in summer months)
How long before I receive my film ?
From filming to delivery DVD's are normally around four to six weeks (in summer months)
How do you work with the photographer ?
Another benefit of hiring professional videographers and photographers is having peace of mind that the can work harmoniously to best capture your day.
They know it's about you and capturing your special moments on your day and can work together to achieve that.
Do you set shots up ?
We do not set shots for two reasons, firstly this is the domain of the photographers and secondly we try to capture the day in a different way, as it unfolds from the view point of a guest.
We try to capture not only the ceremony but the spontaneous and unpredictable, the laughter, tears of joy, the dodgy dancing.
Can you personalise the covers ?
Yes, yes we do. All DVD covers are personalised with pictures of both Bride & Groom plus Bridesmaids etc. This is included as standard.
Can you do titles, graphics, animations or special effects ?
All wedding DVD's have special effects to enhance the footage with out adding to much distraction or to cover shoddy camera work. This is included as standard.
Can I choose the music on my film ?
The music of your choice can be added to the DVD throughout and at any point. This is included as standard.
Will my DVD include chapter and scene selection ?
All DVD's come with menus and chapter points like any DVD bought in the high street. This is included as standard.
Can you do High Definition ?
We offer your day in the New Blu-Ray High Definition Format. Although this may cost a little extra it is, in our opinion, worth the expense for the extra quality and to future proof your day.
How far in advance should I book ?
It is always a good idea to book all your wedding services as far in advance as possible to get what you want instead of settling for what's left.
Always, and I repeat, always shop around to get several quotes and always ask to see a portfolio of work so there are no nasty surprises. This also applies to photos, flowers, cake etc.
It's your special day which in some ways can never be repeated so make sure it's right and make sure you're happy with what you get for your money.
Do you require a deposit ?
Yes. A deposit is required to secure the date of your wedding.
What happens if we have to cancel or change dates ?
If the date changes and we are informed well in advance it shouldn't be a problem to re-arrange.
However, should your new date coincide with a previously booked wedding we will honour the wedding first booked and refund your deposit.
What happens if the service/speeches last longer than planned ?
Expecting the unexpected is part of planning and preparation.
We pre visit the venues, look at traveling times from venue to reception and commit time for the unforeseen.
Wouldn't it just be cheaper to get a friend to do it ?
Sometimes people try to save money by asking friends or family and it may initially seem cheaper but it's false economy.
You won't get the quality, the experience and the back up if something goes wrong.
It's an unrepeatable day and getting a professional is one less thing for you to worry about so you can relax and enjoy the day as you should.
Is it really worth risking the film and memories of such a special day for the sake of a few hundred pounds.
What areas do you cover ?
We cover most areas however the further we travel will obviously generate travel costs and possibly accommodation costs.
Please call to discuss this.
How many DVD's do I get, can I get more and how much are they ?
You will receive 4 copies of your wedding. Extra copies are available at £15 per copy (Hi Def Blu-Ray £75 per copy)
How long do you keep a copy of my wedding footage ?
We keep a copy of your day for 12 months before erasing.
